The sharp eyed among my blog readers will have spotted the date on this. For those of you who don't read blogs through a magnifying glass, the shameful secret is that I stitched this in 1996. Yes, thirteen years ago, and only now have I done something with it! Okay, to be fair, it was a little small to frame but still...

It was a trifle fiddly to turn into a pinkeep, but I managed, and I think it looks very cute! Not really 'me' these days, but it's pretty. Perhaps when The Tot can be relied upon not to stab herself with the pins, she can have it for her bedroom, which is very pink!

I stitched this piece for the recent needleroll exchange over on Hooked on Exchanges. I'm not normally a big stitcher of delicate pieces in pastels, but I really enjoyed making this for Amy, and I'm so glad she liked it! I added beads and an irridescent heart from my stash, and my LNS sells irridescent ribbon which matched perfectly :o) I do like making needlerolls, even the hemstitching is fun (now!)

When This You See - Cathy Bussi

This was probably the oldest thing in my "to make up" pile - if you look closely, you can see that the date on it is 1996! LOL!

The design was in an old edition of Cross Stitch Collection, but I changed all the colours - the original was either yellow and green, or pink and purple, I can't remember which!

I'm not really sure why I stitched this, because even then it wasn't really my style - but I did, about eight years ago, and it's languished unloved in my finishing box ever since. I finally made it up into a card which I will be sending to a friend who has recently moved home.
