Knitted Poetry

I'm going to be taking part in the first ever attempt at a gigantic knitted poem, to celebrate the Poetry Society's centenary.

It's going to be fun, and I'm going to be doing it with some other of the SnB group I belong to. And what's really cute is that I'm going to be knitting the letter N!

None of the knitters know what the poem is we're working on. I hope it's not someone awful like Wordsworth or Tennyson!

Okay as a former high school English teacher I have to step up and defend Tennyson ... some of his stuff is not all that bad. But I am [low may it be spoken] quite in agreement about Wordsworth ... but it could be worse, you know, W. C. Bryant or Ralph Waldo Emerson are pretty dreadful.

Let's hope you get something by William Blake or William Butler Yeats or Emily Dickinson or, one of my favorites: Amy Lowell's Patterns.
